If I understand this correctly, I get this data via the RTP tool - i.e. I can create a segment for a specific industry - but this data is not available to the main Marketo database - i.e. it's not a variable that I can use to route a lead to a salesrep in Salesforce?
Is there any workaround for this - other that spend the money on another tool?
Is it possible to create custom fields and then map the values back to those custom fields so that they're available within each lead record?
We use DemandBase - along with our Sitecore CMS - to provide personalization. The added bonus being all of the additional firmographic/company-level data also gets populated into the actual lead records (of known users, of course). Such as industry, website URL, number of employees, annual revenue, HQ address, SIC code,... and up to 25 or so attributes.
I'd value a reply from Marketo on this one - I'm paying for RTP - I can set up segments in RTP using the Industry value derived from IP - but i can't use that on my Person record...it's almost as if they were 2 separate companies thzt hadn't completely merged yet...
