If you want to be able to view historically web form fill outs by stage (early, mid, and late) what do you need to do?

Question:

If you want to be able to view historically web form fill outs by stage (early, mid, and late) what do you need to do?

Background:

I think it would be a nice metric to be able to conclude "Out of all the contact us web form fill outs, this is how many fill outs came from an early stage lead, this is how many fill outs came from a mid stage lead, and this is how many fill outs came from a late stage lead."  We are going to be using RCA and RCE.

For example:

For our contact us web form, people at all different stages will use the form.  If we have one program for tracking contact us web form fill outs we can't look back in history and identify how many were from early stages leads vs mid or late stage leads since people move away from those stages as time goes on.

To accomplish this would we have to set up three separate contact us web form programs?

Program 1: Early Stage Contact Us Web Form

  • Basic program logic: Filled out contact us web form and stage = early

Program 2: Mid Stage Contact Us Web Form

  • Basic program logic: Filled out contact us web form and stage = mid

Program 3: Late Stage Contact Us Web Form

  • Basic program logic: Filled out contact us web form and stage = late

Also many times we will set up one email program that will send out the same email/s to all stages.  Filled out form is a success status in email programs.

Same goes for if we want to answer questions such as:

  • How many people filled out a web form as a result of an specific email campaign
  • How many of those form fill outs came from an early stage vs mid vs late stage lead

Again we are hoping use RCA and RCE.  We are wanting the ability to look back historically.
