I have a finished email that is sending with a picture. The image however has an editable box around it, which should not be there when I click it. Help!

Hi Tomilyn,

So, there's a couple of things going on here which are a little concerning, but they both come from the same place: this email has contents that were copied and pasted from Word. The way Word stores data when copying and pasting has its own unique code attached to it, allowing you to do edit it easily in their Office ecosystem. As such, when you go into a program like Outlook, which can read that extra code, you'll wind up seeing the image editing and movement options rather than just the image!

Additionally, it looks like the image on the right (3800-3820) is stored as an ASHX file rather than an image--anyone who opens this up and is not using Outlook will not have the image render for them at all.

The best way to prevent this is to actually build your emails inside of Marketo's rich text editor rather than said copy/pasting--or at the very least, copy and paste your text into something like Notepad first, which will strip all of Microsoft's extra markup. From there, simply use Marketo's editor to place images and the like.

Good morning,

When you have a free moment, can I please hop on a call with you? We are still having trouble with these images. It is an urgent matter.

Thank you,

Tomilyn
