How to Tally/Count People in a Static List Without Report/List Subscriptions

I am trying to identity a way to represent the current count of list members that could be ultimately represented as a singular data output to update stakeholders at key points in time during a process.  Something that could be delivered in the output of an email as a status check so that any outliers or unexpected activity can be quickly identified and investigated.  

Lists and people reports using custom columns of Smart lists that call on the static list to show these counts unfortunately do not work, as the emails need to send at specific time of day and subscribed deliveries cannot be adjusted for key delivery times.  

Thoughts? The use case here is for a key customer segment, not global

You can only do this with the assistance of a webhook-compatible service. Have a Resource Lead (a lead dedicated to sending this report). Pass them through the book at a certain time per day. The service reads the list count and writes it back to a lead field. Then just send that {{lead.token}} in an alert.
