How to search for leads by the source of a specific field value

Hi all

I'm trying to categorise leads based on where a field value came from. We have a field for Marketing Opt In = True, that was populated by various sources - form fill, import etc.

I can look in the Activity Log and see the detail of fields selected in a Fill Out Form activity stamp - I just can't find a way to accurately reverse this to create a Smart List to group by 'Marketing Opt-In field Source is Form Fillout'?

I know how to use a smart campaign to categorise as future updates happen, but is there a way to search backwards in time?

Thanks

Yes, in the case of Person was Created you also filter on the field value.

Re: How to search for leads by the source of a specific field value

There are 2 cases here.

1. The value was set at the same time the lead was created.

2. The value was changed after the lead was created.

You have to use 2 different filter types for this.

The first is covered by Person was Created with a constraint (click Add Constraint). The second is Data Value Changed with a constraint.

Thank you for the reply.  I can't see how to use the constraint options to limit to a specific field being populated at the point of creation. Do I have to include the field as a separate filter, and infer that that's when it was created, or is there a better way to link the person creation source and a specific field value?
