how to rename API field Name?

I created a custom field - VIPCount, noticed later that UI gave a name vIPCount for API field Name, I want to edit the API field name properly such as vipCount. How should I do that considering there is no option to delete customer field rather just hide it?

If you really want to change it, the work around will be, creating a new field, and ask Marketo support to merge the old field in the new field and keep the old field values.

Amit, I am in integration phase working on Sandbox, so I really do not care much about the data value right now, just wanted to make sure the field name look correct and consistent.  If someone can remove my field VIP Loan Count, which has name vIPLoanCount, I can recreate the field with same name with correct case of rest API field

What I mentioned above should work for you. Create a new field and ask marketo to merge it. You can put a different field label (friendly name) for now and re-name it to what you want once marketo confirm the merging.
