Hoping someone else has had this issue and figured out a workaround. We are running a targeted campaign where our sales reps opt in a prospect they want us to include via Marketo Sales Insights. The problem we are having is that our sales reps uses "contacts" vs "leads" in salesforce. When we pull the opt in list from Marketo, the "lead owner" column is showing who originally created that contact, not the current owner as it appears in salesforce. For this campaign, this is a big problem because we are sending high end gifts and personalizing it from the sales rep.
We have tried having the reps opt in leads only but this is causing a problem because the person already exists as a contact and so the rep has to re-create them as a lead. We are getting tons of push back from sales which I completely understand and its creating dupes in our database.
Has anyone else experienced this and found a workaround?

The Lead Owner should match either the Lead Owner in SFDC or the Contact owner in SFDC.
if you have done something custom with Contact Owner or have a secondary Owner field, then Marketo won't be able to help you here. You probably need to expose that other field to Marketo and test it to see if Marketo can pull in that token to push to your fulfillment center.
Otherwise, you will have to pull the excel list manually.
