How to change Salesforce Activity field through Marketo?

I am trying to set up a trigger for when an activity is logged in Salesforce and meets certain criteria, Marketo will tick a checkbox located on that Activity within Salesforce

Example:

An activity is logged in Salesforce for a meeting with a new client

This client has a box ticked in Salesforce 'Marketing Generated Contact'

Marketo Smartlist recognises both of these traits

Marketo's Flow ticks checkbox on the Activity page.

Marketo doesnt seem to be able to pull any fields from Activities, this is my problem.

Any suggestions?

Hi Cameron - Marketo can see Salesforce activities but cannot write to fields on the activities area.

There are triggers/filters to see the activity:

  • Activity is Logged (trigger) | Activity was Logged (filter)
  • Activity is Updated (trigger) | Activity was Updated (filter)

I'd suggest putting the checkbox on the lead and contact object instead if you want Marketo to check it.
