How to built a customize dashboard for Sales and Marketing?

Hi,

Is it possible to build a customize dashboard for our Sales and Marketing efforts in Marketo? What are the limitations? What would be the best solution for a dashboard which includes data from Salesforce and Marketo? Any suggestions.

A custom dashboard in Marketo that reflects both Marketo & SFDC data is not possible (to be clear, a custom dashboard in Marketo that reflects only Marketo data isn't really possible either... but when you add in SFDC there isn't any doubt).

What you're implicitly talking about is a dashboard built on top of a data warehouse. The technology used to build the dashboard itself can vary: it might be a commercial platform like Tableau, a PowerBI report, or a totally bespoke UI using the web language of one's choice.

The important part in all cases is you must extract data from both Marketo and SFDC, using their respective export APIs, and import the data into a scalable database (hopefully a db built for timeseries data, though sadly most people miss that part).

This is a sophisticated project that has multiple stakeholders. The dashboards are relatively superficial compared to the data itself. (Not to say BI info architecture and queries are not themselves complex, but the prerequisite is having the data available and up-to-date in the first place.)
