How many times does an email need to soft bounce before it is marked as invalid?

Hi there,

Does anyone know how many times an email needs to soft bounce until it is marked as invalid?

We are seeing email addresses such as 1@1.com being marked as a soft bounce multiple times. To me it seems as though it should be marked as a soft bounce right away.

And to answer your question, Marketo won't mark 1000 soft bounces as invalid. You'd have to set up a rule on your own that would mark email invalid after x number of bounces.
