I cloned an Event including its social share button. The cloned share button was still approved unlike all the other assets that were cloned. So I deleted the share button from the registration and confirmation landing pages where it was displayed. However there isn't a menu option to Unapprove the share button and when I try to delete it, an error message is displayed indicating that the share button is used in landing pages and can't be deleted. Is there a way to do this or is this a bug?
I'm having the same problem. I'm trying to delete the social share button from cloned programs, however Marketo says it can't be deleted because it's in use on a landing page. But it's not on the landing page.
Has a resolution been found? Or should I submit a ticket?
I filed a P3 support ticket and in about 2-3 hours the bug was fixed. If anyone else experiences this, just log a support case and the Marketo support team will be on it.
Rich, We fixed the issue which was causing Elliott's problem. Not sure why you are also seeing the same behavior. Would you please log a support ticket so that we can investigate?
The cloned share button shows that it is being used by the cloned landing page, but I deleted it from the cloned landing page. I definitely can't delete it.
Elliott, You should be able to delete social buttons that are not in use. Unfortunately, the "Used by" info on the summary tab of social apps is refreshed ONLY on full page reload and not automatically as soon as the social asset is placed on a LP. We will be fixing this in a future release.
