I have reoccuring emails campaigns set up that I schedule 3 times per month. I would like to see the email metrics of delivered, opens, clicks for EACH of these sends - but because the email itself doesn't change, the email performance report will only show me the metrics for "leads" receiving the email for the first time. How can I see the metrics for each send when the email and smart campaign stays the same?
For example, campaign A has 8 different emails and smart lists that are used in a smart campaign "if/then" order. If customer has product 1, they get email 1. If customer has product 2, they get email 2, and so forth + product purchase date in past 12 months + product purchase date in the past before 6 months. Because of the time frame, every email send has a slightly different group of customers.
This email was sent August 9, August 17, August 25, September 7, September 12.
If I go into Analytics, email performance, choose these emails, and choose "September 12" as the SENT date, the delivered number is less than 100. But if I do a smart list that says "Was Sent Email X on September 12, 2016" it says close to 6,000 (which is the expected number.) So, I am assuming the analytics email performance report is only showing the sent emails that were sent for the first time on September 12, not all of the reoccuring emails that have been sent these past few weeks. Is that correct? How can I accurately report on each of these email sends?
Thank you so much!
Smart list showing "Was sent X emails on September 12":
Analytics for these same emails, with sent date as September 12:
I need this email performance report to be based on SEND date, not "first activity date" but I don't know how to do that.
Are you sure the campaigns and dates are right?
Did you refresh the report?
Yes, the campaigns and dates are correct. As you can see here, it is showing the correct numbers in each run. But when I do the email performance report from September 7 - September 11 (for example) it will only show like 300 delivered emails.
Are these in Engagements?
You can use Email Perf report in several ways.
You will likely have to have alot of these reports to look at the exact emails and products and time ranges, then put that data together in a xlsx. There is no easy way to do this.
What do you mean by "in Engagements" I am not completely sure. The programs are just the default email programs with a smart campaign, smart lists, and emails.
Here is email performance report for this program. "Sent Date" I would assume is the sent date even if the emails have been sent 10 times, it should show the metrics for THAT sent date, but it doesn't.
I would like to try what you are saying with using smart lists to constrain the leads to example emails vs. behavior.. I am not sure how to do that.
The problem I am having is seeing email performance. I need to get a "count" of each individual send delivered/opens/clicks and I pair that information with Google Analytics to find out exactly how much money each email made + how many unsubscribes each email had. I also change the subject lines on these emails periodically (I just have a token that I change each week), and I would like to see the performance of each individual email per subject line.
If you are changing the subject line in the email without using AB testing, you need to carefully report each week in Excel.
Engagements=Nurture Channel/Engagements. I think this may work better for you in several ways.
Yep. I understand, but I can't even get the data into Excel. I need to know how to get the data for each send, which is my question. Do you have any ideas? Are there any screenshots I can provide to more thoroughly explain the current campaign and problem? Thank you so much for your help and advice!
