How do I mark an event registrant as a No Show?

I have used the Marketo Events app to mark everyone who attended a live event as attended. My question is how do I mark those who did not attend as a No Show? We are sending two follow up emails - one to those who attended and one to those who did not and need to be able to distinguish.

Go to the program in Marketo and click ont he program name. Then click on the "Members" tab. Select the names that were No Shows and use the "Change Status" button to change them to no shows.

You can also use a smart campaign:

Smartlist
Member of program X
Status is not "Attended"

Flow
Change program status to "No Show"

you can create a trigger campaign to update progression status automatically after your live event has finished/completed to send out your emails for no-shows and attendees.

Example:
  • Filled out form is x, on webpage is x

Flow:
  • Wait step set at the day after of event
  • Change progression to No-show (this will change all members who is currently at Registered status to No-Show).
  • Wait 5 minutes
  • Send Email, add choice - status is NoShow - send NoShow email, Default email is Attendee email

If those who attended had their program status updated from Registered to Attended you can assume anyone who still has a program status of Registered as a No Show.

You could update them to No Show manually or using a smart campaign or your No Show follow-up email campaign could send to anyone with a status of No Show OR Registered.
