How do I configure a form field radio button list so a person can only make 1 selection from the list?

How do I configure a form field radio button list so a person can only make 1 selection from the list?  A

Courtney - I thought by definition that radio buttons only allow 1 selection but checkboxes allow the person to select multiple.  When you chose the Field Type, chosing Radio Buttons should do the trick.
