Have anyone had issues in the way Marketo sees SFDC cases?

As shown in the image below Case Contact Role is one level down from Account and Cases falls as second level down. To be able to use email scriting Cases should be one level down. Anyone has experience this issue and knows how to modify the way in Marketo syncs the objects from SFDC? 
SFDC support indicated that Contact roles is an standard functionality and can't be modified.

Hi Josh, Thanks for your response. Yes, we do have a SFDC Admin.
The email scripting works if you reference to a first level object - in the image above Cases is two levels object down.
All settings seem ok from the SFDC side architecture - why Case Contact roles appears as first level in Marketo - is still to be solved.

Maria, do you have an SFDC Admin? They may be able to help you with this. Not really sure why it would matter to the script how the schema was structured as long as you synced over the object data.
