I just synced a webinar to Gotowebinar. and the event Id's match so i know it is integrated. Have't uploaded any member yet.
Someone has already signed up for the webinar via gotowebinar registration page, but its not showing up in Marketo
any ideas why they are not showing up under registered?

Solved! Go to Solution.
Yep, it won't do it that way.
You must register them via a Marketo Page and Form. This is well documented.
Once you setup the Page and Form, create a campaign that says
If Fills Out Form on Page X and Form Y, then Change Status=Registered.
The lead will flow over to GTW and then back when they Attend/No Attend.

So for a registrant to show up as registered in marketo for a webinar, the webinar registration has to be a form made in marketo? We can't just use the gotowebinar page? That is what we are currently doing but none of the invitees have a status changed to registered. Please confirm, thanks!
Hi Katie!
Hi Katie,
It's best to have your leads registering through a Marketo form and being set to Registered in the program synced with your webinar. This way you'll have all of your lead information even before the webinar takes place.
However, leads that sign up for the webinar through some other means, and who then attend the webinar and are part of the attendance list that gets pushed to Marketo after it's over, will get created in Marketo as new leads. This doesn't happen until the webinar is over, and the attendance list is given to Marketo though, so you wouldn't be able to count those leads in Marketo until then.

John, thanks for the reply. One more question, we had a webinar today and the attendees pushed through when it was finished, but not the "did not attend". Does that also only happen if it's through our own form and not go to webinars?
Hi Katie!
Hi Katie,
I agree a marketo lp the best option for ensuring that "registered" status is reflected in marketo. However, if you do not want to use a marketo form/lp you could always create a field that captures the webinar key, then trigger the registration status with the data value change "webinar key =X"
