GoToWebinar Automated Confirmation email

I'm setting up a webinar flow in GoToWebinar. I was planning to do an automated email confirmation from us via Marketo (opting-out of GoToWebinar's confirmation email to the registrant) however, I'm seeing now that I can't opt out of their confirmation email - it seems to be hard-wired into their process.

While I'd be happier using ours (including the unique webinar url token for each person)... it seems like if I do this, the poor person will get two emails - a bit overkill.

Are there any work-arounds here? Best practice on your end?

(Related: it also appears that if you select multiple countries for dial-in #s, the number that appears in their confirmation email defaults to the first country in their alpha list....so, in our case, while the majority of the people will be US-based, they'll all be given the number for Canadians to call in - while there's a link that says "Calling from another country?" that takes you to a page with the other numbers, I'd think most people are on auto-pilot and would just type in the Canada #. Hoping to dummy-proof this but, talking with GTW support, sounds like they can't do anything about it.)

You CAN disable the email notifications out of the GTM.

Under email settings you can uncheck all the boxes:

We use the Marketo confirmations for our Spanish webinars so that Spanish speakers don't get confirmations in English. Let me know if you are still having problems.

Thanks Sierra! I'm not actually seeing a screen that looks like your screen cap.... that's in GTM or GTW? I see where I can turn off all of the other emails in GTW... but the initial confirmation email seems to be locked. I IM'd with a support person on their end, and they said it wasn't possible to turn that off. (Or to make the US be the default phone number in said email).

Strange, that is from GoToWebinar...

Select your webinar, then select email notifications, then select [http://cl.ly/image/3x3N3T272D1E] "Change Session Settings" select Email Notifications, and uncheck - send to all registrants [http://cl.ly/image/2U3r0X0R2c0M]

Try that and let me know if it works.

Silly quetions - but you are an admin for the account correct?

GoToWebinar release a new version  called Global GTW and they are not yet supporting the ability to turn the confirmation email on/off.  I am in direct contact with the Product Manger at GTW and they hope to have this feature in the product by the end of Q1.
