Gmailアプリでレスポンシブが適用されない

カスタマイズしたメールテンプレートを使用しているのですが、スマートフォンのGmailアプリでレスポンシブ対応になりません。（パソコン表示がそのまま小さくなって表示されます）
iPhoneの「メール」アプリほか、他のスマートフォンアプリではすべてレスポンシブとなります。

Marketo自体の仕様とは異なりそうですが、原因がわかる方がいらっしゃいましたらご教示ください。

This is not specific to the email templates, but this is also true for the web pages as well.
