Filling Out Forms, Syncing Information with Salesforce.com

When somone fills out a form and the email address entered into the form is not the same as the one in Salesforce, is there a trigger or a way to update Salesforce with the one they registered with?

Yeah, all you can do right now is to merge the lead, with the merge function.

Unfortunately no.   There is an Idea for this The ability to match a secondary email address to existing records, rather than creating a new recor... - please vote for it.
