Failed Flow step-sync to SFDC skipped-ID value isn't valid for user, etc.

Anyone see this before?

New lead who filled out a MKTO form was not synced to SFDC during a flow step - MKTO reason - Invalid Cross reference key- Record type ID: This ID is not valid for the user.

In the activity history for the lead it says that the SFDC campaign status update couldn't happen because the lead was not a SFDC Lead/Contact type.

I'm confused because I'm trying to sync them to SFDC so they can become a Lead type.

Please advise,

Thanks,

Lynn

It sounds like there could be some permission issues in SFDC. I would double check to make sure that the Marketo-SFDC sync user in SFDC has been granted access to all relevant record types for the lead/contact objects. Possibly a record type is being specified somewhere that the user does not have rights on.

Not 100% sure but the first error message suggests this could be the problem.

Thanks, Justin,

I’ll look into it.

Lynn,

What is the order of your workflow? If the lead isn't in SFDC (hence, not a SFDC lead/contact) then they can't be added to the campaign. Do you have a "sync lead to SFDC" step set up in the workflow before adding them to the campaign?
