Join us for this AMA on May 28th, 2025 from 9 AM PST to 10 AM PST, as our product expert Li Gao (@liga1) walks you the key benefits, best practices, and use cases for the Advanced BI Analytics reporting capabilities, coming soon to your Marketo Engage instance!
Advanced BI Analytics, formerly known as Revenue Explorer or Revenue Cycle Explorer, represents a significant evolution of the embedded custom reporting functionality within Marketo Engage. While maintaining compatibility with existing reporting data models, it now leverages the Snowflake data warehouse for enhanced performance and integrates embedded Power BI for a modern, intuitive, and interactive visualization experience.
This advanced platform empowers users to uncover deeper insights, optimize performance, and create compelling data-driven narratives without requiring data engineering expertise or prolonged development cycles.
Advanced BI Analytics is currently in public beta for all existing Revenue Explorer customers, with general availability scheduled for June 1, 2025. The legacy Revenue Explorer experience will be discontinued on the same date.

Hi Everyone,

@liga1 As currently we dont have option to share dashboard ,do we getting this feature and some other feature as swell compare to actual power Bi when it became live
@AKj054 Deep-link share is in the backlog. Tentatively we'll make it available in the second half this year.
The visualization experience is delivered through embedded Power BI, which has less capabilities than the Power BI desktop version. Let me know what specific features were on your mind and we'll check whether it's possible.
I think currently some custom filtering should be added like we use in smarlist ,so we can get a better view of accurate data
Can you share the use case details? Note the expressiveness of the filter conditions of embedded Power BI is limited compared to that of smart-list. We may never get to the same level of expressiveness of smart-list.
In this same vein, I'd like to be able to use segments as a filter- is that on the roadmap for availability?
@gmartella It is on the roadmap but it's a more difficult problem to solve because
- for data consistency, we cannot evaluate the segment in the transactional data store and then use the results to filter the data in the reporting data store
- the segment may take a significant amount time to evaluate. Therefore, in order for the report to be performant, we cannot evaluate it at the report time
With that being said, it is a good solution for the expressiveness of filter conditions.
I will check once again when other feature are live and share you the use case ,Meanwhile what you that also make sense
We are seeing significantly higher click volumes in the advanced BI analytics tool compared to our other reports where we are able to apply bot filters. Are we able to apply such filters in the new tool?
Facing same issue ,Issue +1
@AKj054 Can you share the details through the "Send Feedback" action at the top right of the new experience?
No data model changes in this release. If the bot filter was available as a dimension in the old experience, it should be available as a dimension in the new experience as well. If you can't find it or it doesn't work as what you expected, please share the details with us through the "Send Feedback" button at the top right of the new experience, and we'll look into it.
Hi @liga1
We're seeing a significant discrepancy—up to a 10x difference—between the data in Marketo Advanced BI Analytics and the Email Insight/Email Performance reports. Can you help clarify what might be causing this?
Most likely it's because some of the filters were not translatable during the migration. I wouldn't know it for sure until we take a look of the two reports and underlying data. Can you send an email to us with the details through the "Send Feedback" button at the top right of the new experience? Once we have the details we will investigate it.
Sure thanks for quick response , I will share the details ,
thank you
@liga1 How can we connect Marketo to the Power BI app and workspace?
Did you mean to connect to your own Power BI application?
@Saj Generally speaking you can't connect your own Power BI to Marketo data stores today. We don't offer the Marketo data store directly as a data-as-a-service yet. The Marketo data is only available through APIs today.
Is it possible to duplicate reports?
When will more documentation be available?
