Hi braintrust!
I'm trying to figure out how to implement this (and could not figure out how to put it in the title).
Basically, here's the layout I want:
Stream 1 - Email 1 - Subject line 1
I just can't think of how to implement this without having a ton of streams.
Thanks!
Brett
Hi Brett,
One way to manage this is within a Default Program that is local to the Engagement program.
Your Default Program would house your two emails, and could have either a single or multiple Smart Campaigns to manage the send of Email 1 - Subject Line B.
e.g.
> Engagement Program
> Default Program
> Email 1 - Subject Line A
> Email 1 - Subject Line B
> Smart Campaign 1 - Send Email 1 - Subject Line A
Once you've got that set up, simply drag the Default Program into your stream and select the Smart Campaign to trigger Email 1 - Subject Line A send and you should be fine.
Just make sure that the Smart Campaign 1 - Send Email 1 - Subject Line A is making people members of the Default Program - this is how Marketo knows a person has been sent the email and it will prevent it from being sent a second time.
Thanks for this. It's definitely helping.
Another question - If opened, how would I ensure the move to email 2 in the stream and not Email 1 subject line 2?
Using the Send Email flow step, make sure you add in a choice and use the Not Opened Email variable.
