Emails marked as "opened"?

My sales team has just started using Marketo and they've realized that when they go in to their sent mail to remind themselves of what they sent - the email gets marked as "opened" in Marketo. Is there any way to avoid this?

Also - when they cc someone on an email, and that person opens it, does it count as "opened"?

So we tested it...anyone who is cced on the email and opens it it's marked as opened.

Yeah, I'm unsure about the cc... get the to test it and let us know 🙂

It may be marked as Open for the Sales person who sent it because it copies it to their box.

I do not know if a CC email is tracked.
