Hello!
So we are working on implementing new email templates. They look great, but when you get delivered the email to our outlook inboxes and click to "download Images" this can take upwards to 30 seconds to load. This isn't a new issue, we had this issue with our old templates as well. We reached out to the developers and they ensured us that they use these templates for every client they build templates for and that there isn't an issue. Luckily this issue seems to be only internal for what we can tell (if you send it to a gmail account or external outlook it loads as expected), but we are concerned if another company has a similar set up, that this could be experienced externally.
What we've tried:
- We have snippets on the bottom of our emails, so we tried sending ourselves emails without the snippet and when you click "download images" issue remains
- Reached out to our IT team they ensured us once an email gets delivered to our inboxes nothing they do could impact our load times.
- We tried smaller file sized images, or no images at all (just text modules) but if you click "download images" the problem remains.
- We tried sending ourselves the out of the box templates that Marketo gives you to see if its our domain and that seemed to load as expected (not 30 seconds)
I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this issue/if anyone has any other ideas we can try to decipher the problem.
