Hello Marketo Experts,
I am testing my email program. The issue is I became the member of my smart campaign "Test" after ran the campaign once to myself. But it didn't list me as the member of the Program. I need to be the member of the program to trigger another smart campaign. So I am wondering why and how can I become the member of the program. If you are familiar with my case, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Becky

Hi Becky Bai,
This board is for general marketing questions, you should move this question to the Products discussion board.
In the smart campaign you ran the first time, did you have a flow step "Change Program Status". If not, you should add that step to the flow of that smart campaign. This will then add the people to the program and give them the status you want.
For example if you are sending out an invite email to an event. In the Flow Step section of the initial invite send you would have the following:
Hope that helps,
Thanks,
Gerard

Hi Gerard,
Thank you so much for your response. What you mentioned make sense. We have another smart campaign which will be triggered by the first one. There is a flow step "Change Program Status".
The logic we have is send out an email (first smart campaign) as the test. When people clicked the link in the email and fill out the form on the webpage. Then it will trigger the second smart campaign, which is to sync the lead to SFDC, and we have “Change Program Status” in it. My team member tested it successfully (lead info captured in Maketo and sync to SFDC), but for some reason, my test lead info only captured by Marketo, but didn’t sync to SFDC. Based on your experience, do you have any assumptions for my case?
Thank you.
Becky
Hi Gerard,
It's working now. I added the "Change Program Status" in my test smart campaign, even we set up "Change Program Status" in the second campaign. I still not 100% sure if this is the key. But your advice is really helpful. Thank you.
Becky
Hi Becky Bai,
Glad it helped. Also if you ever missed this step in the future you can set the program status retrospectively. You could just create a new smart campaign to update someones status If they were sent an email. This will set the program status for everyone who was previously sent that email.
Got it, good idea.
Thank you again Gerard.
Best,
Becky
