Hi!
We are currently awaiting a transfer to the editor 2.0.
We hope this will able to streamline our process as followed:
- We create templates and add a library of modules to it.
- Our marketeers can create their own emails using 4 or 5 standard templates and add or remove modules.
For example: they can add a hero image and change the image. Or add an article module and change the text.
Is this possible with modules or do we need to approach this in another manner?
Thanks!
Hi Rick,
This is exactly what the modules are for: make your templates more versatile and enable the user to adapt the template blocks on each emails.
One of the benefits is that you will need less templates.

Awesome! Do the modules still support tokens? So we can make 1CTA button with a text token for dynamic content?
Hi Rick,
yes they do. Test under progress.

Looking forward to it! You just made me one happy marketing guy!
Hi Rick,
Confirmation, everything works fine there. One thing is still missing, though: it's impossible to use a token to populate an image element or an image variable. This means that using image elements or variables will force the user to edit the email to change it and it will not be possible to fully "tokenize" an email on which images are supposed to be changed.

Also, read here: Testing the email editor 2.0: Great features, a few glitches and the need for a v2.1

And also please note that mktoAddByDefault="false" in the module elements does not work and blocks the module to be editable, so you should not use it for the moment.

BtW, I forgot to write that the mktoAddByDefault="false" bug is now resolved.
