We have scenario, Salesforce updates the "Has Opted Out of Email" fields and in that case this udpates under the latest date and time stamp tagged lead in Marketo.
We want to make sure this gets updated in all the duplicates as well in marketo. However we tried creating smart campaign with following filter:
->Data Value changed for "Has Opted Out Of Email" with New Value = True.
-> Duplicate Field is "Email Address"
->Change Data Value "Has Opted Out Of Email" with New Value = True.
Result-> It has picked only one record, not all duplicates with email address got udpated.
Please let us know you have any other thoughts make sure to update duplicates records?
This kind of cross-lead coordination, if done on the Marketo side, requires a webhook.
Your SC can't do it, as only people who match the DVC trigger (or filter) will qualify in the first place. (The SC doesn't expand to include *other* people based on the duplicate field.)
There are other discussions of this if you do a search.
Also, are you deliberately encouraging duplicates...and if so, why?
