Is there a tool or procedure where we can use emojis in either the subject line or message of an email so that when the customer receives the email, the emoji will show (as a small graphic instead of the actual characters being used)?

Hey Mark, you can do this with Unicode 5.2 and earlier versions. Check out ❤️ Heavy Black Heart Emoji and you will find a copy button. When you click that copy button you can paste in your subject line.
