Hello,
I am a designer new to Marketo. Looking to create an email template where I have the email sender's image on the right, text to the right. Couple questions:
1) When I create this, I notice I can't change the width of the text column. Is there a way to do this or do I need to select another template?
2) Is there a best practice for emails for social media in terms of placement? Is it better to have them a the top or bottom? BTW, these meails awill be short, so there shouldn't be much scrolling.
Many thanks!
Which system - Email 1 or Email 2.0?
Do you have screenshots and code? Are you coding a new template or just using an Email based on a Template?
Hi Josh,
Thanks for your reply. One template I created was from the picker template. The other was from templates.marketo.com, so I am not sure what system either one is from. I do have a call to our salesperson to get some answers, but thought I'd reach out to the Marketo community as well.
I am coming at this from a graphic designer standpoint who does not have coding experience. When I do go into the newsletter template, the code is long and I am unable to edit the design (unless I know how to change code, which I do not)
appreciate your help!
Debi
I suggest asking a coder for help. Sales won't help you.
Thanks for your help
So now that I have more time, please see
Create a New Email Template - Marketo Docs - Product Docs
and note that the Templates can be modified BEFORE you use them. But once you are in the Child email, you cannot modify much other than the editable areas.
Since it sounds like you are in Email 2.0 please see Email Editor v2.0 Overview - Marketo Docs - Product Docs
these operate a bit more flexibly, however, that doesn't mean you can do what you wanted above. If you need custom templates, then I suggest reaching out to someone here under Jobs, or contact Grazitti, Perkuto, or Knak for further help.
