Date Token at Program level used in Wait Step

I've created a Program with several steps and a date token at program level. Can anyone tell me if/why this may not work?

E.g.

Program Level Token called "my.Event Date" value = 1 November.

Flow = 

1. Send Email 1

2. Wait until 14 days before {{my.Event Date}}

3. Send Email 2
4. Wait until 7 days before {{my.Event Date}}

5. Send Email 3

With the intention being that Email 2 would send on 18th October and Email 3 on 25th October.

Any ideas and input appreciated.

I believe I have never used this, but it should be working:

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your reply. I've used precisely this and had it succeed several times but fail catastrophically too. I just can't understand what might cause it to work in some cases and not others (all trigger campaigns).
