Custom Account Fields on Contacts Empty

Hi. I have a lot of SFDC custom fields on my accounts. I want to bring those over to my Marketo leads that are contacts under these accounts.

I made the fields visible to Marketo, but when I sync a contact, these custom fields do not sync over.

I know I can't have bi-directional sync to account fields. That's fine. But can't Marketo read the custom fields from accounts?

FYI, Support suggested I use the SFDC data loader to touch all the accounts I wanted to draw info from, so that Marketo would know they had "updated" info. That did the trick.

Has your Marketo admin syncd your custom SFDC fields over from within the SFDC section in Marketo Admin?
Here is where you can sync over more fields from SFDC custom objects relating to contacts.

Every once in a while you need to refresh your SFDC schema in this admin area of SFDC in Marketo.
