CTA limited to first 100 who click

Project:

Using the email program, we in the email marketing team are inviting a primary smartlist to click a CTA button to register for a service limited to the first 100 who respond. It’s unlikely we’ll build a landing page or webform. Prefer the click to be recorded from the email rather than sending contacts to a landing page or webform.

  • The first 100 receive an email with a login code sending them to another of our platforms.
  • Contact #101 and beyond will receive another email explaining we've reached our cap for this service but offer helpful tips.

In the email program campaign, I've set up the smart list trigger (Clicks link in email) for the initial email.

I don’t know which is the simplest, most efficient way of setting up the flow(s) for the campaigns. Certainly, I don’t know how to apply the respondent cap (first 100). Toyed with Change Program Status as below, but I'm still unclear on how to cap it to 100. Also toyed with the idea of adding respondents to a smartlist for this (likely) one-time project.

Peer advice, please and thank you?

The only way to maintain the counter is by calling a webhook. Buncha other posts on this from the past.

Obviously, I missed that. Hard to know what to search for. Thanks. Looking into that now.

Event Registration Cap  This one may be helpful.
