Creating mktEditable Regions with the double div hack?

We are using the double div hack/work around to overide Marketo's absolute positioned divs, to create a responsive landing page.

I was wondering if it is still possible to create editable regions using the class name mktEditable and an unique ID?  I tried this but with no success.  I looked around and found that this might not be possible using the double div hack.  Has anyone done this before and would like to share their workaround/solution?
