I created a custom field in Marketo and have waited for the Salesforce sync to take place but still don't see the field in Salesforce - does anyone know how to get Salesforce to recognize the new field?
Thanks!

Hi Malik,
Fields created in Marketo will only ever exist in Marketo. If you need a field to sync between Salesforce and Marketo, then it's best to create the field in Salesforce first. It will then automatically map to Marketo as long as your sync user in SFDC can see it.
In this case, because the field already exists in Marketo, you'll need to create the field in SFDC and let it sync over. You'll then have duplicate fields in Marketo, and you have two options. You can hide the Marketo only field, or you can open a support case to have them merged.

Can you elaborate on "It will then automatically map to Marketo as long as your sync user in SFDC can see it"?
I created the field in Salesforce now and still not seeing it map over to Marketo.
Thanks!
Nvm - I see it now. Okay, so I'll just contact and have them remove the one I made in Marketo - weird that they don't give you an option to delete it yourself - thanks!
Hey Malik, the ideal thing to do is actually create the field in SFDC and let it sync to Marketo. You can contact support and they can typically sync the field to your SFDC, but it's likely that all of the data in the field will be cleared out.
Thanks for your input Dory!
