Have you found a plugin or easy way to implement the cookie consent question on your website, in preparation for GDPR? Does your plugin allow you to store individual's consent proof and report on it if needed? And does it give users the option to say "no" and turn off cookies on your site?
We've been looking at a few options, including one just called Cookie Consent, but I'm not sure it (or any other free plugin) allows for evidence of user consent to be recorded, stored, and accessible on request. This seems to be the hardest piece to capture.
Fat chance, but have you found any that integrate with Marketo to track when and by whom consent was given?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Not to mention, there's nothing to capture at the DB level since most of the activity will be anonymous (until they become known). Remember, cookie consent for all visitors to your site/landing pages - not just known leads. Lots of current discussion exists on the community around some of the existing pay-for plug-ins, like OneTrust.
Re: Behavioral Tracking with GDPR
Some of the paid tools are enterprise level.
I'm not entirely sure you need to individually record the consent at the db level, rather, a cookie flag may be enough. Check with your legal counsel.
