Champion/Challenger- does winner get sent automatically?

Hi there! We're using a couple champion/challengers in our engagement programs, with 50% of people getting the champion and 50% getting the challenger. When setting up these champion/challenger programs, there was no option for the winner to be declared automatically or manually. Does this mean I have to do it manually? How do I set them up so that the winner gets sent out automatically after x amount of weeks?

It is a choice when you set up the test.  When you select the winner criteria, below is a choice to automatically or manually send the winner out

I always thought the winner in champion/challenger A/B testing had to be sent manually?  Where is there a "automatic" option?

That is exactly what I see, too! I don't see anywhere that allows me to choose manual or automatic, which is why I was confused. So I'll choose the winner manually (unless anyone knows some sort of trick). Thank you!

I've only seen the automatic option when sending via email program, not default.

Champion/challenger is different than the built-in A/B testing that's part of the actual Email Program.  The Email Program does send to the winner automatically after the defined timeframe/testing criteria; whereas champion/challenger must be sent manually - there is no automatic option.
