Can multiple Email Programs be contained within a normal program?

Just curious - can mutliple Email Programs be contained within a parent program (not an email program, just a regular Marketo program)?

Hi Lynn, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question correctly, but if you are sending multiple emails that are completely unrelated to one another (different assets, different audiences, etc.), then you should have a separate Email Program for each send. Only in the case where they are related to a larger scale "parent" program would you want to nest them. If they are stand-alone programs, then you should build them as such.

based on my search on the community, email program is targeted mainly to one off email (with multiple send) and a/b test. do you think it is also applicable for multiple non-relative emails (different target list/different email contect)?

Hi Lynn, by default, the member statuses will be specific to the individual "child" programs. However, you can/should create Smart Campaigns to move members along the parent program progression as you see fit.

It all comes down to the reporting you're looking for, but either way works in terms of the functionality 🙂

Thanks Jessica.  Yes, I am referring to the new Email Program.  I wasn't sure if it was applicable to use multiple email programs for multiple waves of emails within a single Marketo program or use the traditional approach of mutliple smart campaigns to send out the local email.

Hi Dan, if you're referring to the new Email Program, yes, you can nest multiple Email Programs within a higher-level program. The best way to do this is to create your primary program - let's say it's a Webinar Program - and then create the individual Email Programs as Local Assets. Hope this helps!
