Can I restrict an editable email content area to snippets?

I would like my email template to restrict the footer to only be able to insert and remove snippets, not be able to remove the snippet and then edit the footer area. Is this possible?

Sorry, this is not possible.

Users will be able to edit the footer area if you use a Snippet. Ask your team to not touch the snippets.
