Hey Eric, any chance you can post a screenshot of what you're seeing? I would not expect that to occur in the body section unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do.
As you've probably seen in searching the Community, we put up Agical.io (http://blog.teknkl.com/tag/agical) to cover some cases the native tokens can't (like reminders and tokenized event names). HTML in event descriptions is also possible, though it isn't supported in all calendaring apps (default descriptions are text-only in the icalendar standard).
