Bypass lead gen form if user has previously filled it out?

I have been asked to make it so that visitors to our website who have previously filled out our lead gen forms and have a cookie get to bypass filling out Marketo forms (we have them embedded in our website pages) and go directly to our content.

This has all kinds of bells and alarms going off in my head but I am interested in hearing what others have to say.

Any experiences on this ?

You can do this on the form settings where you say if Known Visitor, use Custom HTML message instead. There is a default but you can customize it.

But is this generally a good idea?

Also I forgot to mention that we are using embedded Marketo forms directly on our Website, would this feature/setting apply there as well?

I believe this will only work if you've embedded it within an iframe, but I could be mistaken.

Is it possible to do this using the javascript embed-code for the form?
