Blank Email Addresses for German List Purchase

We are planning to purchase a list of German records, however, based on German laws, these lists do not come if email addresses. Our inside sales/telemarketing team is going to call down on these and hopefully get the email addresses, but trying to figure out the best way to house this list for inside sales call down activity. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this?

I'm thinking spreadsheet is probably the best bet and then uploading it into Marketo, but any suggestions would be great.

Yeah, I would prob use a spreadsheet in Google Drive, a shared folder or SmartSheet. Then when you get the email addresses you can upload into MKTO.

Just took a look at your profile, you have SFDC. 
Why not inport the list into salesforce's lead object & create a lead queue?

Germany has the tightest privacy laws in the world - and stiff fines when you break them!

It is my understanding that you can only send promotional emails to Germans, if they have explicitly consented to it. One of my clients has paid thousands in Euros in fines (plus lawyer fees) when they were not diligently following these laws.

I'm not an expert at German privacy law, but highly recommend that you do thorough research before sending email blasts into Germany - particularly, if your company has a location in Germany.

@Nicole, yes definitely aware of the strict privacy laws so will make sure that we receive permission (both verbal & confirming through email address) from those individuals before adding them into the database.

@Jennifer, yes that's a great idea, but would need to make sure the inside sales rep dedups any records that are already in SFDC.

I attended a session at the summit about privacy laws (the presentation is available in the community). But now that it's been 4 more months since then, I think it'd be awesome if Marketo would hold a "What you need to know, how to, Q&A" session around these topics!!

I checked with our list developer and she doesn't recommend importing to SFDC.  The spread sheet in google drive as Kim suggested might be a better way to go then import to SFDC, that way you don't bump up your marketo database limit.  She's researching an app for something like this.

Regarding your comment. If you use a deduping tool in SFDC (like Dupe Catcher or Dupe Blocker for example) you could stop dupes from even getting to your reps. 
Also if you use Demand Tools to import the data, you can guard the system from receiving dupes. 

I am all for having reps do their due diligence & de dupe, especially during the conversion process, but we can try to make their lives a bit easier 🙂

Our list developer does use a couple of deduping tools and is still reviewing others to use and she is currently using Dupe Catcher.  I'll mention the demand tools to her, and thanks for suggesting.
