Are there any free tools out there to manage duplicate emails?

We have quite a few duplicate emails in our database now, however, probably not enough that we want to invest in a new tool to manage it. Anyone use a free de-duping tool for Marketo or SFDC?

Marketo and Salesforce both have a dedupe feature, though actual deduping involves some manual legwork (interns). You can use Excel as a tool for this as well, if you don't want to invest in one of the costly tools out there.

Why does Marketo - a database of email contacts - allow duplicate email addresses to begin with? This makes no sense to me.
