Add an "activity" to a lead

Hi

I like to add an activity to a set of leads like for example "Attended Event 1005" , can you advise how i can do this.

This is basically to track list of atteed for future campaigns , so we can send a targetted message accordingly.

In this case can you create a program/event called 1005. Add all the leads in question to this program and then set their program status to Attended?

Then you can filter/target based on member of program.
