Hi All, I was wondering what other people have done with existing data being pulled down from Dynamics (CRM) into Marketo for their acquisition source. This is a brand new instance and the acquisition source is not tracked in the CRM.
If that person eventually goes through an acquisition path and their field being empty may update to that activity which wouldn't reflect the truth since its existing data.

Create a program dedicated to records that are pulled down from Dynamics. Add a smart campaign where when a person is created with source type Microsoft Dynamics, it adds that record to that program and sets the Acquisition Program to that program.
As @Liz_Medeiros1 says - this will show acquisition as being from Dynamics as the acquisition source (list upload).
Once people are in Marketo you can then track them by UTM Source / medium / Campaign to see multiple touch channels as the person goes through your lifecycle or scoring programs.
