Are you referring to specifying the event date under the Schedule View of an event program? I believe this is only useful if you are using the Marketing Calendar tab to plan and schedule your campaigns (note: a license is needed for this).
There used to be an event check-in mobile app which will require the event date to be specified before you can start viewing and marking the attendance for that specific event directly from a tablet. However, it seems that Adobe has discontinued this app since October 2023.
Without these, I personally have not specified / used the event date in a long time 😂
As for the naming convention of programs (example below), it is just a best practice to keep your programs organized.
e.g., [Abbreviation of Program Type] [YYYY]-[MM]-[Optional DD] [Brief Description]
Hi @Amarjit_Hayer @rross1CY @KSBingham @khanson20 @aditik
Hope you’re having a lovely start to our 2nd week of this mentorship program!
This week, we will be focusing on (Section 2) Building Assets. Please run through the Exam Prep Guide and if possible, familiarize yourself with the actual configuration / interface through some hands-on in Marketo. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in this thread.
Gentle reminder to also attempt the week 1 quiz on (Section 1) Building and Managing Programs, if you have not done so. Looking forward to your questions and participation!
Hey Clement when uploading a image in design studio how can you change that image in all assets at the same time without having to go into each asset one by one. For example: If a logo block is used and something is added how will all assets be updated using that logo block?
Hey @rross1CY
The most efficient way is to replace that specific image in the Design Studio.
You can follow the steps listed here.
You will essentially be re-uploading the image without changing the file name / URL - thus the updated image will be reflected in all of your assets (e.g. emails, forms, landing pages).
Hope this helps!
Hi @rross1CY @Amarjit_Hayer @aditik @khanson20 @KSBingham @EmanEspares
Hope you had an amazing week! Here’s the next quiz on (Section 2) Building Assets:
Which of the following statements about creating/editing assets in Marketo is FALSE?
Please reply to this message with your answer by Wednesday, 12 June. Feel free to let me know of any questions as well!
A is false, replace will overwrite the selected file, keeping the original filename if the new one was different, so no deletion is required.
A is False. You do not have to delete the image from Design Studio to replace it with a new one.
A is FALSE because to replace an existing image in Design Studio, you just need to upload new image
Spot on @Amarjit_Hayer @aditik @rross1CY !
The correct answer is A.
Replacing image allows us to seamlessly update existing images used in all email.
On the topic of drafts and approved assets, it is important to bear in mind that the approved version will continue to be sent and will only be updated when the draft is approved. A common mistake is forgetting to approve your drafts after editing.
Hi @Amarjit_Hayer @rross1CY @aditik @khanson20 @KSBingham @EmanEspares
