Hello Community,
Welcome to the Adobe Marketo Engage Community Mentorship Program 2024! This is the featured Community Discussion thread for your Adobe Marketo Engage Community Mentor, Carla Cabaceira (@Carla_Cabaceir1) who will be here to guide and support you and your peers with your Adobe Marketo Engage questions as you prepare for your Adobe Marketo Engage Professional (AD0-E555) exam, through to the end of the program.
A little bit about your Adobe Marketo Engage Community Mentor, Carla:
2x certified Marketo Engage Expert
Since 2014, I have accumulated about ten years of dedicated Marketo experience, developing deep expertise in marketing automation and supporting and training global teams. I am well-versed in demand generation best practices, scoring methodology, and understanding how systems interact with each other. My work at HID has been particularly impactful, as I have implemented several automated processes, significantly enhancing lead velocity and sharing between different business units.

@Carla_Cabaceir1 Since we're discussing about the programs this week, is Default Program (with smart campaigns) the only way to build a nurture campaign if we want people to re-enter the program after they exhaust the content and don't convert?
Hi @tshewang ,
Not sure if this answers your question:
For the engagement program, if a lead exhausts content, you can add additional emails to the program, and they will continue receiving the new emails.
If this doesn't answer your question, please explain your use case so I can give you an accurate answer.
Do you mean:
1- Adding a default program to an engagement program to manage the lead flow and cadence.
2- Using a default program as an email multi-touch program, using smart campaigns to determine when to send/resend the emails? Are you trying to send the same emails to leads who didn't convert from the emails you sent?
Thank you,
Carla
Hi @Carla_Cabaceir1
Yes, sending the same emails to leads who didn't convert from the emails previously. Since Engagement Program doesn't allow to re-send the same email again to a lead, I think Default Program with smart campaigns is the only way?
Hi @tshewang ,
It isn't a best practice to send the same email to the same person. I would recommend cloning the email and changing the subject line. If you do that, you can add streams and send the duplicate email with a different subject line and perhaps some changes on the copy to anyone who doesn't respond.
Saying that, you can still use the engagement program and add a nested program to create your custom flow.
I hope this clarifies your question,
Thank you,
Carla
Happy Friday, everyone!
It's been a short holiday week here in the US, so I feel like I'm already behind. Today I tried to access the AME Professional Exam Prep Guide that @Jon_Chen linked to from the into email and I am getting a 404 error. I just noticed that I also get a 404 from the overview page. Has anyone else been able to access it? I can see the guide for the Business Practitioner exam, but not Professional.
Hi Sunny,
I'm getting the same error, I reached out to Jonathan Chen for more details. I will get back to you as soon as I have more details. If this is resolved, please let me know
Thanks
Carla
Hi all - I was just able to access the guide -- if anyone else has trouble accessing it, please add a note to this thread.
@Carla_Cabaceir1 This link should work to access Adobe Marketo Engage Professional Prep Guide.

Hi everyone!
I'm Sunny. I'm the Lifecycle Marketing Manager for the Home Care side of A Place for Mom. My company is based in New York, but I'm in Seattle. I'm a self-taught, see-if-I-can-figure-it-out Marketo Engage user with just over a year of experience. I joined this program because I'm sure there are better ways of doing things than I have pieced together! Looking forward to meeting all of you and learning more.
