Marketing Automation and Email Marketing Executive

About the role

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic Marketing Automation and Email Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team. This person would be responsible for understanding, developing and implementing our nurture tracks to progress our leads towards converting to a sale. You’ll need to test and optimise the campaigns to understand the right types of content to send to the right people at the right time, both for lead nurturing and to boost the sharing and forwarding of our content-driven emails. You will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead nurturing, landing page creation, lead scoring, database management and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and testing a series of email nurture campaigns (within Marketo) with the aim of driving leads to the Sales team;
  • Working closely with the Content Marketing Manager and PPC manager to refine and bolster the nurture process;
  • Planning, implementing and refining the predictive lead scoring mechanism to deliver high quality leads to the Sales team;
  • Maintaining the framework for lead handover between Marketing and Sales, working closely with Sales development reps and within Salesforce;
  • Sending regular newsletters to prospects, partners and customers;
  • Supporting the Customer Success team by marketing Apps and Services to Brightpearl customers;
  • Ensuring prospects, partners and customers are up to date with product updates and new features;
  • Monitoring and maintaining data quality within the marketing database;
  • Establishing and maintaining scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management;
  • Testing and reporting on all email campaigns. Use an analytical approach to recognise where change is needed/possible, and then implementing creative copy changes, tweaking HTML design, testing subject lines and varying content;
  • Working to minimise list decay and unsubscribes while increasing productivity of our email sends;
  • Helping to craft landing pages to support the department, and get involved in written content creation efforts;
  • Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email;
  • Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends and potential new strategies to keep us current and innovative.

Skills required:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in email marketing;
  • Prior in-depth knowledge of marketing automation software (preferably Marketo);
  • Excellent communicator, including strong copywriting skills, and the ability to make complex information concise and digestible;
  • A test-and-learn mentality, and a willingness to work towards ambitious targets;
  • Good understanding of marketing automation and email marketing;
  • Basic HTML & CSS skills, and an understanding of the compatibility exceptions within email design;
  • An understanding of the elements within a successful Marketing campaign;
  • An eye for design, including basic Adobe Creative Suite skills in order to edit and tweak assets on the fly, as well as to brief the design team for further changes;
  • Willingness to work together with a variety of teams, and an enthusiastic, approachable character.
