Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will have the opportunity to bring their digital marketing experience and skills to truly build and own a key part of the marketing strategy. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role will be responsible for the creation and coordination of all things digital from executing email campaigns through Marketo to working with the marketing manager on posting content to the website using Word Press. An ideal candidate will be comfortable with being proactive and have an appetite for directly owning and tackling new challenges to bring digital sophistication to Nexum’s marketing activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Marketo
Marketing Campaign Development to include:
o Own the Marketo environment and serve as the primary Marketo Administrator
o Manage database segmentation, MQL criteria rules, and global program rules
o Manage Marketo database to ensure data quality
o Monitor lead flow performance from Marketo to Salesforce

o Oversee new and existing Marketo integrations
o Work closely with Sales Operations and Salesforce Application Manager to ensure integrity between Marketo and Salesforce
o Initial planning and development of Digital Marketing Campaigns to support lead generation efforts.
o Build, manage, and execute email marketing campaigns in coordination with Marketing Manager

o Create landing pages, newsletters templates, emailers and programs in Marketo.  
o Research and implement best practices into new and existing campaigns to optimize campaign performance
o Report on program performance with go-to-market leaders and establish KPIs to ensure consistent improvement
o Provide recommendations to improve campaign performance

Digital Marketing
Digital Marketing to include:

o Day to day management of Digital Ad campaigns and media operations, specifically paid search, social, display, content, email and other marketing channels.
o Reviewing media performance reports and working with the marketing team to drive growth of our core metrics.
o Monitor Search Engine Optimization (“SEO”) performance and work with the Marketing Team to drive growth of organic traffic.
o Drive continuous improvement to our reporting capabilities to more efficiently optimize and communicate performance.
o Create and manage digital marketing campaigns that are consistent with our target audience and business objectives.
o Coordinate with marketing manager on new campaigns and digital content.
o Manage targeted email marketing to our audience segments.
o Coordination with the marketing manager for content creation and approval. 

Website Management
o Work with Marketing Manager a to develop the criteria and creative brief to maintain company website
o Manage the day to day operations and changes of WordPress based website.
o Addition of pages, content, services, images, and other materials to website
o Ensures content, including PDFs and images, are optimized for search engines. 
o Make ongoing recommendations to improve the site, whether navigation, content, functionality or other means.
o Monitors online sites, making formatting changes, for consistency, based on monitoring results.
o Conducts regular archival and upkeep of digital libraries.

SPECIFIC EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or other field with relevant work experience
• 1-3 years of professional experience in B2B marketing with a focus on operations and marketing automation
• Experience with Marketo and WordPress is a MUST
• Experience with email marketing operations technology, testing techniques, data hygiene tools and best practices

• Experience managing online advertising through social, display, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), SEO and mobile.
• Experience reporting and analyzing data from marketing & CRM systems (Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, etc)
• Strong working knowledge and proficiency in Google Adwords
• Proven ability to pick up new technical skills quickly, problem-solve, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Basic HTML knowledge (Advanced HTML knowledge a plus)
• Passion for developing processes to save time and optimize for results
