I think a key issue here is that Smart Lists have more column-selecting capability than can be found in Reports/Analytics, and that in many cases it's easier to just export a Smart List and manipulate it in Excel (e.g., through Pivot Tables) than it is to create the desired report in Marketo.
Ideally, Marketo reports would let you set the filters and columns you want, at the desired level of detail, but right now it's a long ways away from that.
this will be really helpful in coordinating OB calls that are not tied to SF. Right now, this will be a daily manual process; it would be great to get it automatically. Much more efficient (and correct!)
The ability to have a lead report emailed to me each day (as an Excel attachment) would be awesome. Gosh, I'm surprised this functionality isn't available already. This is not a "like to have" for me. It's a "need to have" I currentlyneed to manually run and download an Excel report, then email it to my stakeholders each week.
Would love to see this feature from an events perspective. Sales team wants to know every day who has registered for what event and being able to automate sending that out would be a huge time saver.
I'm in the same boat as the rest of you. Every day I export several smart lists manually -- and quite often the lists do not load very quickly. I currently receive automated report emails, but they are limited in columns.
A daily automatic Smart List export sent straight to my email (just like a Report) would be an extremely powerful tool.
