SFDC Campaign Token in Programs

SFDC Campaign Token in Programs

Currently the SFDC campaign token only can be used as a value in Add in SFDC Campaign or Change Status in SFDC Campaign flow steps. It can NOT be used in a choice of a flow step, so it's impossible to change status of existing members of a SFDC campaign using the token.

It would be great if I was able to do something like that

Change status in SFDC Campaign
    Choice 1: If member of SFDC campaign {{my.SFDC campaign}}
    Status in {{my.SFDC campaign}} = Registered
Default: Do Nothing

Hey Elena,

I can certainly understand the specific use case of a token in a flowstep like this, and agree this should be possible, but couldn't you accomplish this through the Change Program Stage (progression stage) instead?

In other words, if you're using a program and you have it linked to a Salesforce Campaign, a change to the program stage will automatically change the SFDC campaign member status to match. It doesn't involve tokens, but it would allow you to change a member's stage in a flow step.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the suggestion: it would work if there was only one SFDC campaign to sync with. Sometimes we also add leads to a secondary SF campaign. For example, if an email is sent from Marketo and by a partner or a third party, it makes sense to track the third party responses by adding them to a child SF campaign while the Marketo program is synced with the parent SF campaign.

It's possible to add third party responses to a separate Marketo campaign in a program, but would be nice if we could use my tokens in choices to avoid another operational campaign.
